The Annual Sports Day was held on Friday 9th August 2019, with great zeal, excitement and frolicsome atmosphere. The programme began with the Principal Mr.V. Muthuvelu welcoming the esteemed gathering and emphasized on the importance of sports in a student’s life. MJF Lion Dr. SDS. Selvam, our Correspondent & Secretary took the salute of the impressive March Past of the students, coupled with some stirring marching music by the band.

    Students of I year, II year and III year competed in the events including 100 M, 200 M, 600 M, 4 x 100 M Relay races, Shot-put, Discuss throw and Long-jump competitions. Girls’ students also took part in the events enthusiastically. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. Fun time with a staff Shot-put and a Tug- of- war added to the enjoyment.

    The deputy superintendent of Police Thiru S. Ganesamoorthy, distributed the Medals and Certificates to the prize winners and delivered his special address. Finally Mrs. A. Amalorpava Selvi, Vice-Principal proposed the vote of thanks. Mr. A. Ramamoorthy, Mr. A. Raja, Mr. D. Karthikeyan and Mr. X. Ramesh, Physical Directors from various schools were acted as the umpires. Our Correspondent and Principal congratulated Mr. A. Rajamanickam, the physical director of our college for his wonderful arrangements and for the grand success of the event.
