AICTE has issued Regulations vide its notification E.NO.37 -3/Legal/AICTE/2009 Dated 01.07.2009 Which includes what are the acts constitution ragging ,The possible punishments for those found guilty of ragging at the institution level depending upon the nature and gravity of the offence etc., According to the direction of the AICTE, anti-ragging Committee and anti-ragging Squad were constituted for eradicating completely the menace of ragging in our institution in order to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging in all the technical institutions and thereby to provide for the healthy development, physically and psychologically of all the students.
Anti-Ragging Committee
The “Anti-Ragging Committee” has been reconstituted as follows in order to ensure compliance with the provisions of AICTE ‘s regulations as well as the provisions of any law for the time being in force concerning ragging and also to monitor and oversee the performance of the Anti-Ragging Squad in prevention of ragging in the institution.
Anti-Ragging Squad
An “Anti-Ragging Squad” in respect of this institution has been reconstituted as follows as measure to prevent ragging. They shall be remain vigil, mobile, alert, active at all the times in order to curb the menace of ragging in the campus. They empowered to inspect – raid the places where potential for ragging, to conduct an on-the-spot enquire in to any incidents of ragging referred to it and to submit the enquiry report along with recommendations to the Anti-Ragging committee for action.
